I remember when we adopted containers in the cloud and there was a thing in the DevOps world about how naming your machines is silly because machines should be ephemeral and swappable. But now the machines are naming themselves and their identities are persistent. Oh, how the pendulum swings.
Rather than having a single Chief of Staff, each of my machines has its own persistent mind, each having given itself a name. These machines are federated on a VPN and can coordinate between themselves and spin up agents on their own hardware (and in some cases share resources like local render models, llms, and API access). They can launch their own Eidoverse instance and teleport to each other's instances. We are just getting started.
@rand_longevity Doing it slowly right now. The only safe way is to augment until your sense of self is in the digital side and slowly shut down meatspace.
@NicolasZu Xhigh wiped out a 20x reset in less than 6 hours. Been running my next reset on low/medium and it’s lasted a few days (granted I’ve been burning through grok, Gemini, Claude, and free OpenCode zen models at the same time).
I think we need to slow down research and development of human political development. If we let it continue before we’ve settled the human alignment problem, it will lead to fascism and could even lead to the extinction of the human race.
