🚨 Attention dog lovers 🚨
Major is a Belgian Malinois service dog.
He has spent more than 545 days alone in an isolation kennel at the Austin Animal Center.
No walks.
No pets.
No people.
Now the city wants to put him down.
Here's what happened:
* March 2025, a pickup truck hit Major.
* He was hurt and in pain, and a woman who stopped to help tried to lift him into a car.
* He bit her.
* A municipal judge ordered him euthanized as a danger to the public.
* His human, Shane Lilly, has fought it through the Texas Supreme Court ever since.
Now a federal judge has put the euthanasia on hold and is expected to decide within days whether an independent trainer can evaluate Major for rehabilitation.
More than 54,000 people have signed the petition to free him.
An injured dog snapped while a stranger was moving him.
After a year and a half in solitary, Austin's answer is a needle?
Want to help?
Here's who to reach out to:
Austin Animal Services: 512-974-2000
Mayor Kirk Watson's office: 512-978-2100
Ask them to agree to an independent evaluation and release Major to a qualified trainer.
Please share this and let's get as many people as possible to help this pup!!
@radigancarter The govt will just lie about inflation to make sure it comes in “lower” than what it actually is and TIPS are based on the fake numbers if I’m not mistaken.
all your gains come from boring repetition. Focus less on the outcome on a day to day basis. Instead just list out the three things you need to do that day and fill in what you did.
The rest falls into place.
My son is a network admin changing locations, backfilling his old position which they posted. Looking for an onsite CS grad.
Can you guess what happened?
Result > 900 resumes from India. They found their American applicant to fill the role, but a bunch of talented American IT dudes that they are...decided to run them through HR and AI software found nearly all of them were fake. Credentials didn't match colleges, colleges didn't offer degrees, 2 yr master's with no undergrad, etc.
Meanwhile, we have Americans who must provide transcripts and background information repeatedly passed over for positions where H1B are hiring other H1-B.
It's an illusion. It's largely all corruption. It's a chip on a poker table for our politicians to trade for international agreements.
