It’s a new year but I’m still fighting the Home Office on behalf of our community.💪

Earlier today I wrote to the Asylum Minister, Alex Norris MP to ask for a further update on their plans and to find out what has caused the delays in implementing their plans. These delays give us reason for concern that the site isn’t safe, legal, or compliant.

I have also been in contact with the MOD and received a positive response before Christmas stating that they have found a possible site in Crowborough for our cadets. I will keep pressing them and hope for a response soon on a specific location.📍

🗣️Crowborough Update with neighbouring MP, @mimsdavies who has helped us secure a win over the Home Office delay on Asylum Seekers.

👏🏽Both Mims and @KieranMullanUK have been a great support in UK Parliament, tabling in excess of 40 Ministerial Questions, and helping in debates and meetings.

We have got the @DefenceHQ securing an alternative site for our Cadets and Home Office delay on Safe/Legal & Compliant.

A huge well done to the local community who have worked with us. Shame @wealdendistrict leadership won’t join our efforts.👏🏽

Lets hope the the new year brings about new wins. 💪

📰 Fighting the Home Office is working - all of our objections and scrutiny are delaying their decision. I will continue to raise technical objections on safe, legal and compliant.

We have another small win, the site won’t be ready this year.

I will keep working for the community, and we need @wealdendistrict leadership to finally do what they promised and take legal action, and meet with MPs and the community to explain what they are actually doing. It's time to be honest and open.
