Good Beer Guide worthy ales. 🍻
we are bucking the trend. We are selling more and more cask ale.
Watch this space, by this time next year we may have 5th pump on the bar.
Not too shabby for a very rural destination dining public house.
🙌🏻🍺🎉
We’ve been away from X for a year…but we’re back with some very good news.
We did it, we’re officially in the Good Beer Guide 2026! 🍻
Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported us. Here’s to great beer & even better times ahead. 🧵
#GoodBeerGuide#AntrobusArms#RealAle
championed our beer for us.
In addition, a special mention to @weetwoodales who have supported us with installing an additional beer pump to broaden our range even further.
We are delighted to be able to say, that, while the cask market is in decline …
We would warmly welcome any member of the @NorthCheshCAMRA branch to come along of give us their opinion on our beer offering.
We’re pretty confident you’ll lie what you see.
One of the best that Derbyshire has to offer than @thornbridge.
We have Green Mountain IPA on keg, and their AM:PM on cask.
We will still feature beers from the ever popular @weetwoodales, @SalopianBrewery, @winclebeerco and others.
With the release of the recent @CAMRA_Official Good Beer Guide, we are making it our aim to get ourselves on the map for our beer.
We have had a great year of success in this years @cheshirelife and @TasteCheshire Food & Drink awards for our Food & Service.
We still have three local ales on offer.
With the benefit of more pumps, we can add a bit more diversity from some brewers further afield.
Each month, we will be looking to feature a highly reputable brewer from a more regional base.
Where better to start than …
We’ve had a change of tack…
For the last few years, we have been building our reputation as a great place to enjoy great beer. Initially we have focussed on the local brewers.
We have built such a good following for our beer, that we added extra pumps.
🧵
@weetwoodales Alice, is the person responsible for this success story.
In a time when real ale is apparently in decline, we seem to be bucking that trend.
Over the last few years, we have been working with our local brewers who have been providing their beers to us in 4.5g barrels.
This lower volume barrel meant we could always guarantee, the beer we served was always in great condition. 🧵
@weetwoodales This gives us the opportunity to be even more experimental with the beers we offer.
We can explore darker beers, and higher ABV IPAs.
It has been fantastic to see our real ale audience and reputation grow. This has been through providing good quality … consistently.
