@muheediva01 Not my first, but I had a nice two bedroom in the most affluential county for $650/mo in 2007. The same apartments now go for about twice that.
@ThrillaRilla369 I would, at some point, forgive them for my own peace of mind. But that does not mean I would EVER allow them access to me or my loved ones again.
It can even rewire your present moment. If you are {depressed, anxious, fearful, angry, agitated, etc}, taking a moment to truly consider three things are grateful for can rewire your current state of mind.
Over time, this practice does rewire the brain: in times where you would normally feel {depressed, anxious, fearful, angry, agitated, etc}, you begin to feel gratitude for what those experiences bring into your life.
🇧🇷 Meet the Indio Gigante from Brazil. This bird is over three feet tall, and honestly, its legs are so long it looks like a chicken that forgot how to be a chicken.

You’ll never get closure from a narcissist. They’ll never confirm the pattern you’ve picked up on. The only thing you can do is trust yourself and what you’re seeing, and find closure within. Trust yourself.
I stopped explaining myself to people who weren’t listening, especially my boundaries. And if they weren’t listening to me, truly listening, at least some of the time, I cut them off. Completely.
Along with this, I taught and trained myself to actually listen to others- REALLY listen, with undivided attention, without expectation or judgement. People will share a lot, they will get a lot off their chests when they encounter someone who can really hold space for them in such a way. It’s very rare, and it’s very appreciated.
Emotions are temporary is completely right. It’s so easy to get stuck on a particular emotion and hold onto it- for some, it eventually becomes a point of identity. They quite literally become trapped inside the body.
It’s also easy to encounter an emotion and become convinced it’s the only emotion that has ever or will ever exist.
Emotions are meant to be felt (as fully as possible), and then released.
