And when somebody happens and you feel an appetite to be in a relationship, be in a relationship. But then enjoy the passion and the fever, the excitement. Enjoy the situation that love brings; the pain, the pleasure. Because sooner or later it will disappear and you will be alone again. Before it disappears, have the taste of it totally. Love and aloneness go on happening like day and night. You have to enjoy every situation. And don’t be too much in the mind, otherwise it will poison you. Just keep a little aloof. Forget what has gone; it has gone! It is no more. And don’t be too concerned with what is going to happen; remain with what is happening, and enjoy this moment before it flies, because it is already on the wing. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26th July to commemorate Bharat's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999. The final operation was called Operation Vijay.

Cause-
The conflict was triggered by Pakistan's decision to send infiltrators into the territory of Bharat in 1999. Pakistani infiltrators crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied strategic high points. It is believed to have been orchestrated by the then Pakistan Army chief General Pervez Musharraf without the knowledge of then Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Conditions-
Kargil War was one of the toughest wars fought in the most inhospitable conditions, both due to its geographical and climatic conditions. The terrain in the Kargil sector is rugged and mountainous, with altitudes exceeding 18,000 feet. The extreme weather conditions and high altitude posed immense challenges in conducting military operations.

Response-
Bharat responded swiftly, launching "Operation Vijay" on May 26, 1999, to evict the Pakistani forces and militants and recapture the infiltrated areas. It was a combination of ground operations and airstrikes.

Important Operations-
1. The Battle of Tololing : The Battle of Tololing was one of the first major confrontations in the Kargil War. (Recaptured on 13th June 1999)

2. The Battle of Tiger Hill, also known as the Battle of Point 5353 : The battle for Tiger Hill was particularly fierce and lasted for several weeks.

3. Point 4875 (Batra Top) : On 7 July 1999, 13 JAK RIF led by Captain Vikram Batra was tasked to capture Point 4875. He single-handedly killed five enemy fighters at point-blank range and gave the ultimate sacrifice for the Motherland.

Result-
The war was fought from 3rd May to 26th July 1999 and concluded with Bharat successfully pushing back the Pakistani forces and reclaiming all occupied positions.

This was the last full fledged war fought between the two countries.
