Inspector, Improvement Adviser, Occupational Therapist & Manager. What doesn't change is a focus on meaningful occupations & improving outcomes. Views my own.
Completed workshops on Early Intervention, Preventative & Proactive Care & CAPA with 36 fab Fife Community OT colleagues. So much energy & enthusiasm to improve outcomes through meaningful occupations! Can't wait to see where the improvement journey takes Fife! @EAMacahp@theRCOT
@RCOT_Suzy @EAMacahp@theRCOT Mary thanks Suzy. That may be beneficial for Fife Community OT service. I will message you and progress from there. It would be good to include the colleague from Fife who helped me develop and deliver the workshops.
I am pleased to say that building a culture of belonging is something my organisation generally, and the improvement directorate specifically, has perfected, and that has definitely helped my performance! @LouiseMSKelly@CareInspect @HeatherAHP @EAMacahp@CMOcraigmo
Belonging at work really matters. Employees with a strong sense of belonging outperform others on almost every metric, from engagement & retention to performance & wellbeing. Good leadership supports belonging: People with an effective manager are 6X more likely to feel this sense of belonging. Six ways to gauge belonging at work based on research:
1) Overall sense of belonging: I feel a strong sense of belonging at my organisation
2) Welcomed: I feel warmly welcomed at in my organisation (first day, new team, new role)
3) Known: I feel known as an individual at work
4) Included: I feel included at work (can be myself, my opinions are valued, can respectfully disagree)
5) Supported: I am supported at work in achieving my personal & professional development goals
6) Connected: I feel a strong connection with peers and colleagues

Sometimes, the simplest things make the most sense. I do like this re-exploration focused on likely outcomes when one of the spheres is missing. Have you found your Ikigai yet?

'When we regularly engage in something that is truly meaningful to us, we're able to achieve a state of flow. There is ample evidence to indicate that when we're in a state of flow we can unlock our true potential.' π
Thank you Anuj Dawar for sharing this for #OTWeek23.

'When we do something that's really meaningful to us, it helps us to achieve a state of flow, which allows us to achieve our true mental and physical potential. This can lead to a permanent lasting impact.'
