the fact that we are all so programmed to have to be so accountable on every single platform in society on a 24/7 basis is actually so insane to me. no wonder we all have such strong issues with keeping attention.
my biggest flaw is that i look around and compare myself to standards that don’t exist when i rationally know better than that : “comparison is the thief of joy”
when i was a kid, books were my friends. i would read to escape and imagine and learn. then once i started actually having a social life i left books behind. which i always felt bad about but not enough to pick one up for fun again. but in the past two weeks, i’ve read two ᵕ̈
i gotta say all the south asian talent from the bay area is something that makes me so proud. we all took classes from legends in fremont, san ramon, and san jose, went on to corporate careers or school to nourish the craft, and now we’re out here swinging
the best advice i got as a songwriter is to not put 5 songs into 1. sometimes it’s best to give each idea the space it deserves to really shine instead of squishing them all together
anddddd for coachella round 2 in ‘23, i firsthand got to see @joycrookes@diljitdosanjh@jaiwolfx and heard many people raving about Jai Paul and @alisethimusic . south asian music is taking over the narrative in such huge cultural symposiums like chella and i’m so here for it 👏🏾
at my first coachella this weekend and it’s an absolute dream. incredible music, performances, energy, love, and so far day 0 and day 1 have been nothing short of amazing ☺️ so grateful to be here @coachella#Coachella2022#Coachella
