And the fact that SpongeBob is asexual, and that there are people who see this as childishness and a refusal to grow up, even within the LGBT community itself, makes the message even better.
As a chronically ill and autistic person who needs daily support, this episode resonates even more with me today. I remain an adult despite my limitations.
