The Hunt for the Wilderpeople is an amazing film and one of Sam Neill’s best. If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favour and give it a watch!

The older I get, the more I get emotional during this scene. Grant getting to feel the thing he never thought possible, and rather than being afraid of this huge creature, he saw the beauty in it. Something most of the JP films since have failed on. They’re animals, not monsters

Sam Neill has passed away at 78. His passing comes suddenly after he stated in April that he was cancer free after fighting a rare form of blood cancer. I will miss this man deeply. He was an actor filled with heart and filled with joy. We lost a great one today. RIP to a true gentleman.
