Look, if Rep. Matt Gaetz wants to serve as the highest law enforcement officer in the land, we need to vet him โ thatโs my job as Senator.
And that includes seeing this House Ethics report on him.
Thatโs exactly what I called for last night.
Sooooโฆ.the GOP is planning to throw thousands of vets off of VA health care (while also repealing the ACA),
and slashing VA benefits and pensions.
To my fellow vets, whatโs your plan when that happens?
I was a Republican before voting for President Obama and 'developed' into a staunch Democrat after that. I will never vote Republican for the remaining years of my life.
What about you?
Listen, just because you're not hearing about Democrats working behind the scenes doesn't mean it's not happening. Some things need to remain quiet. But, please, DO NOT REMAIN QUIET ABOUT YOUR SUPPORT FOR AN INVESTIGATION! Democratic leaders need to know you SUPPORT them!
In the next two months, Senate Democrats can...
-Fill 47 judicial vacancies
-Ensure a Dem majority on the NLRB
-Appoint key regulators to the SEC and FDIC to protect the American people from financial fraud
-Reappoint FTC Chair Lina Khan
Democrats need to act. Now.
Maybe itโs me, maybe Iโm old fashioned, but if a bank teller were under an ethics investigation for having sex with minors, but then quit right before the boss could see the report, they probably wouldnโt hire the guy back and put him in charge of the entire fucking bank.
Right?
Speaker Johnson is requesting they hide the Ethics report on Matt Gaetz. This is called a cover up, and Johnson is leading it! Corporate media must start reporting it as that!
BREAKING: In a stunning announcement, both John Cornyn and Thom Tillis have admitted they want to see the results of the House Ethics investigation into Matt Gaetz. This is devastating news for Donald Trump.
The allegations facing Matt Gaetz regarding sex trafficking and more are deeply troubling. Republicans and Democrats have raised serious concerns about his nomination to be Attorney General. He cannot lead a department of 115,000 including prosecutors and federal law enforcement!
