The good news is that Cabinet has today, approved the National Sports Policy, an instrument that will support and ease the implementation of the new sports law to improve the management and administration of sports in the country.
I welcome the proposal by Summa, a Turkish construction company, to construct a modern state-of-the-art multipurpose indoor sports complex at Lugogo in Kampala.
The government will support them because we need it to continue developing sports in Uganda.
As Teso Gears towards the Unveiling of the 3rd Edition of @AtekerCup My brother Hon.Dr @EriakuPedro has brought forward aplatform for the youth to identify talents that will hold the Kapelebyong flag high in this years edition.Rem the Ateker hunters were finalists last year......
One of the shortest but probably the most important bit of the new sports law is about infrastructure.
Previously, sport has lost land in the name of development, but what the new las has done is to vest ownership of land housing sports facilities to Council whose business is purely sport.
The council will not lease, mortgage, or sell such land.

.@WinnieKiiza: It's unfortunate that by putting their (FDC) house in order, it has gone out of hand. When you live in a country where the dictator has been for a while, you know he loves these things.
