Yesterday,they said " it's just Coventry".
Today , however, the self proclaimed disciples of Carrick ball have been ceremoniously schooled by the supposed minnows of Hull.😂
We were told Carrick would cook this season, only for his inaugural recruitment to constitute a washed up Tielemans and a Chelsea flop. An extraordinary ambitious midfield rebuild ,if the objective is mediocrity.
Remember they scoffed at our unbeaten record, mistaking consistency for coincidence, now their campaign is being inaugurated with a juicy defeat.
14 years and counting without a premier league title. Yet Ferguson and Howard Webb orphans still resurrect the same delusions of grandeur, accompanied by the customary PowerPoint presentation about " the rebuild" at leaking Old Trafford.
Good evening Heha movers,Carrick is cooking something delicious for us this season 👋
You may not like what I am going to say, but I'll say it anyway.
United are not that bad. They are a decent side but their major undoing this season is going to be mentality. The Red Devils have a mentality problem. I have looked at the images of the game, and the body language and facial expressions I get from the coach to the playing unit should be worrying.
For Pete's sake! It is only one game. But the players look tired and worn out in the mind as if they have lost a major final or have been thrown out of contention of the league after more than 30 rounds of games.
The captain, Bruno Fernandes, wore the sob and whining face as usual. Carrick is lost in what looks like regrets. Mbuemo to Teilemanns all look beaten. Come on! This is when I expect them to walk head high and stand tall to the dugout. Hopeful, or assured that they have learnt something from the game.
But they did not do that. That should be the cause of an alarm. United have a mentality problem. The club of Roy Keane and Erick Cantona are struggling to show that they are strong and belong.
At this point, I honestly have no idea what position Ricardo Calafiori is playing anymore! 🤣 One minute I see him defending, the next he is stepping into midfield, and somehow he ends up appearing in attacking positions. I wouldn't be surprised if Arteta asked him to play No.9 tomorrow.
What makes it even more ridiculous is how comfortable Calafiori looks doing all of it. He can defend, carry the ball, step into midfield, combine in the final third and even make runs into the box. I watch him sometimes and wonder whether Arteta has secretly created his own football cheat code.
For me, Calafiori is the definition of a utility player on steroids. He gives Arteta the freedom to change Arsenal's shape during games without necessarily making a substitution. His versatility means he can start as a defender and suddenly become an extra midfielder or attacking option when the situation demands it.
At this point, I've stopped trying to figure out Calafiori's position. I just watch where he pops up and enjoy the madness. Centre-back? Full-back? Midfielder? Winger? Striker? Whatever Arteta tells him to play, I genuinely believe Calafiori will just nod and get on with it. 🤣
We want Noni Madueke sold ASAP!
After watching his first wasted cross yesterday, and he was laughing afterwards. I asked myself, “Is this guy really an Arsenal-type player to keep as squad depth?”
When he was signed, his agent emphatically said he wasn’t a backup player but someone who would compete with Bukayo Saka.
After watching him for a full season and seeing him yesterday, it’s clear that Arsenal’s right wing still has a long way to go if Bukayo Saka is unavailable.
What makes it even more frustrating is that, despite having far more Premier League experience than Christos Tzolis, yesterday’s performance clearly showed that Madueke still has a lot to improve than relying on him as backup for Saka.
At this point, Arsenal might be better off selling Madueke and taking a chance on an “unknown” player like Tzolis before the summer window closes.
He simply doesn’t look ready to play serious football at Arsenal’s level.
Sincerely, someone should tell me that it was not Noni Madueke I watched today. I have praised him a few times when he has done well, but this was simply not good enough. After coming on for Bukayo Saka, I expected him to bring energy and quality, but instead, I found myself questioning almost every decision he made.
What frustrated me most was his decision-making. There were moments when a simple pass would have kept the attack moving, yet he chose the difficult option. He held onto the ball for too long and often seemed unsure of what to do next.
Compared to the other Arsenal players on the pitch, Madueke looked a level below. The movement and intensity around him were much sharper, while he struggled to make a real impact. Coming on for Saka was never going to be easy, but I still expected much more from him.
I know one bad performance does not make him a bad player, and I will continue to praise him when he gets things right. But today, he was nowhere near the level required. I just hope the real Noni Madueke turns up next time, because this version was frustrating to watch.
Frank Lampard had a better playing career than Mikel Arteta. He was streets ahead of Arteta as a player.Lampard could have played for Barcelona and Real Madrid then and Arteta couldn't have.
However in their coaching careers,Arteta is a Godfather while Lampard is still a minor.Mikel can manage both Barcelona and Real Madrid today but same can't be said about Frank Lampard.
If this doesn't teach you about anything in life, then nothing will.

They have started again
Apparently, it’s “Just Coventry City” because we beat them comfortably. We beat City 3–0 in the Community Shield, and they said Maresca was yet to settle in.
No problem. Enjoy the excuses. What matters is that Arsenal have walked away with 3 massive points and 3 goals in the bag, while sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League table.
It all started like this last season. Every time we won a game, there was always one excuse after another.
It’s only this team.
They haven’t played anyone serious yet.
Let’s wait until they face a bigger club.
The excuses kept coming until we eventually reached the point where they had to admit that we were inching closer and closer to winning the Premier League.
Then, before we knew it, they started abandoning their respective clubs and supporting Manchester City to win the league. 😂
So, I’ve seen this movie before. I know exactly how it goes. The more Arsenal wins, the more the excuses will evolve. Today, it’s “Just Coventry City.” Tomorrow, it’ll be something else.
Let them talk. Let them downplay our victory. We’ll keep collecting points, climbing the table and putting pressure on everyone around us.
The season is long, and we’re only getting started.
After watching Myles Lewis-Skelly against Coventry City, I'm still wondering how the England manager chose Kobbie Mainoo and left this guy behind.
If England had Myles Lewis-Skelly in the midfield, I'm 100% sure the result could have been different.
Kobbie Mainoo went to the World Cup but never even played a single minute. He even ended up dealing with an injury and missed the losers' match, which England won.
But Myles Lewis-Skelly was there.
The class this boy is showing in midfield is incredible. It's not about taking a player away from Manchester United. It's about looking at the reality.
Even after watching him play, you have to ask yourself: why did Kobbie Mainoo go while Myles Lewis-Skelly was left behind?
I stand to be corrected, and I hope you understand me properly.
I'm not against Kobbie Mainoo being in the World Cup because he's a good player, but you can't leave a fantastic player like Myles Lewis-Skelly behind.

🚨🚨Paul Scholes says Arsenal are still behind City in terms of quality even after Pep's departure:
🗣“I don’t really enjoy watching Arsenal. There’s something about their style of play that doesn’t excite me. They’re not a team where I can proudly turn the TV on and think, ‘I’m going to enjoy watching this.’
They can control games and have quality players, but I still feel they lack that spark and freedom you want to see from a team challenging for the biggest trophies.
For me, Manchester City are still the better side, even with Pep Guardiola no longer there. Arsenal have spent heavily, they have a very good squad and, on paper, they should be winning the league next season.
I actually think they have no excuses if they don’t. But do I believe they will win it? No. I just don’t see enough in their football to convince me that they’ll finally get over the line when the pressure really starts to build.”
Ian Wright not happy the way Martinelli is being treated, clearly he has spoke to him about it
The club should sit down with Martinelli & tell him what their plan is. He does deserve as much respect. He has earned it
Wright said: "It makes me feel slightly uncomfortable. Not being involved tonight, not being spoken to, not knowing what's going on. I know this, I know this for sure."
“It makes me sad how Martinelli is being treated. I know that he hasnt been spoken to or know what is going on. I think he has done enough to be treated with respect. I hope it works out right for Gabi”
If there's one player who is benefiting from Arsenal's defense squad depth is Christian Mosquera. He was bought last season as William Saliba backup and he managed to get minutes when the team had injuries in the backline.
Now that William Saliba is injured and Jurrien Timber, Arsenal has added Ezri Konsa this season in their backline and of course the player every Arsenal fan expects to be dropped to the bench is none other than Mosquera.
I have watched him in these two games and I have seen a very different player from last season. Instead of having pressure in games to replace William Saliba and Arsenal signing Konsa, he is showing Mikel Arteta why he must start games for Arsenal.
Last night Vs Coventry, he was the best CB on the pitch. He had a good game compared to Gabriel Magalhaes and as things stand right now I don't think Mikel Arteta can drop him in our next game despite the arrival of Konsa.
Ezri Konsa may end up being a backup for Mosquera and not William Saliba. The reason I believe Mosquera can be dropped currently is maybe when he gets suspended, injured or gives him some rest but he has proven he can be trusted in the absence of William Saliba.
