Association Of Community Police Officers & Wardens
@AoCPOW
The Association of Community Police/Service/Traffic Officers&Wardens. An unaffiliated association. We represent and support all front line unwarranted staff.
Meet Swindon’s Neighbourhood Wardens. You’ll see them out on patrol on Friday and Saturday evenings to keep #Swindon safe and welcoming this festive season.
They’re here to prevent antisocial behaviour before it escalates, offer reassurance, and support everyone enjoying a night out.
Working alongside @wiltshirepolice, taxi marshals, venue staff, and volunteers, they’re a key part of our #GettingYouHomeSafe campaign, and their presence helps make Swindon’s nightlife safer for all.

Community Wardens act as a vital link between residents, the council, and key partners such as Sussex Police and housing providers. While they don’t hold enforcement powers, their role is to identify and raise concerns, support vulnerable individuals... 2/3
We’re proud to mark the 20th anniversary of our Community Warden service! Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be shining a spotlight on each of our wardens and the incredible work they do.
This month, we’re focusing on Rich Moorey, our Community Warden for Selsey. 1/3
Since launching in 2005, our Community Wardens have really made a mark on the communities they serve, providing a reassuring presence and keeping people safe.
Their efforts were recognised in 2007 when they won the Home Office’s national ‘Respect Award for Taking a Stand’. 1/2

Last week was Anti-Bullying Week, and we’re giving a big shout-out to our Community Wardens for helping to stop conflict and anti-social behaviour.
🎃 Over Halloween, Claire, Dave and Jackie worked with Kent Police and Sittingbourne Street Pastors to keep Swale safe. With support from the Right Hon. Kevin McKenna MP, they also handed out “No Trick or Treat” signs to residents who didn’t want to take part.
👏 Thank you to our wardens for helping people feel safe and supported in their communities.
