If you ever, in your whole life, called any fiction problematic - I hate you, and it's personal.
I want you out of all fandoms. Completely alienated, and locked in a room with padded walls.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
@Nozes202@milkrapist@BlackCat_Dandy Using manga-style avatars is also cultural appropriation you know.
You should get a different hobby, more APT for your own race.
Because apparently that's what you're arguing for?
Jesus, I can't believe people still use that stupid term lol
@fantia_jp Oh, fuck off you cucks. Gobbling on those American corporate balls like there's no tomorrow.
CENSORSHIP? That's how you treat the thousands of artists who kept you afloat with the cut you took.
Disgusting.
Go to hell, all of you.
A straight man with autogynephilia, with flags in his name and political opinions in bio, talking about stuff being performative.
Oh, please. Have a bit of self-awareness.
one example of performative behavior i've noticed for years is where when a piece of japanese media has a very widely used localized name in english some fans of it will insist on using the japanese name anyway for some reason. very "place, japan" vibes
@lerigan@kabrutusdeid Forza is THE racing game for customization of everything, so yeah, some people WILL be turned off by characters being needlessly fugly.
Besides, the significance of the feature is irrelevant. If it's badly implemented, it's open to critique.
@KaizokuBalls My cynical self tells me that it might be a case of the "physically attractive, but unsuccessful online" being frustrated that they don't get the IRL perks when vtubing, because being behind a model is the great equalizer.
@Pink_Kinoo@CallingtheAbyss@ShitpostRock2 These modern "Fallout" products are only superficially related. It's the name and a bunch of lame "remember this?" elements, without their original context.
People calling it "saving" the franchise, probably believe that stuffing an animal is the same as keeping it alive.
@Pink_Kinoo@CallingtheAbyss@ShitpostRock2 Oh, definitely. It would probably be a lot less popular, but being isometric would give them so much more freedom to actually write in proper skill-checks, ability-based reactions and dialogues that are more than a single line of text.
@whyt_crkr2@Pink_Kinoo@CallingtheAbyss@ShitpostRock2 The only thing he "saved" was a name. Modern Fallout games have nothing to do with the original two.
Almost everything was rewritten or otherwise screwed up, and even the aesthetic was abandoned.
Also, I'll take an good obscure cRPG, over a mid looter-shooter anytime of the day.
@CallingtheAbyss@ShitpostRock2 To be honest, as decent as it is, New Vegas doesn't really compare to F1 and F2. From an oldie gamer's perspective, her opinion doesn't really surprise me.
I was furious when I saw the first trailer for Fallout 3, and NV is more of that, but with better writing and more bugs.
@foxyFailgirl_@SSuper_SSoldier@GoddessCatto That's just guilt by association, as he himself doesn't act that way. There's plenty of content creators that pull in a viewership of socially inept outcasts, yet they're still supported openly.
@Punishere1_ Mind you, it's not because they actually find them "derogatory" it's because the education systems in the western world push the narrative that they are.
Pushing for a culture of shame.
Promote and encourage the ugly.
Shame and deface the beautiful.
@Kotaku "Gamegate 2.0" and it's just individual people who spot the pattern of malicious behavior.
A website that's all aboard ideology train is using dehumanization as a tactic to discredit public opinion? Shocking.
I hope you shutter, and your workers end up in Burger King.
@LundukeJournal What do they represent?
In reality? Nothing.
In their respective fiction? Anything really. From children to teenagers to adults and even 1000+ y/o beings.
There's multiple shows that use loli as an art style choice, because it's just a cute way to draw a character.
@ShitpostRock2 Whether it's true or not, is completely irrelevant, because the mainstream gaming press tends to strongly lean leftwards. Which means those mod sites will never be promoted or be let into the limelight.
Hell, they will get attacked and dogpiled if anything.
@ShitpostRock2 The problem runs deep. Most of the censorship that occurs in the modding space, is specifically targeted at content that's offensive to left-leaning, progressive people. Which means, if you make a website that contains those mods, it gets automatically flagged as right-wing.
