Well, as you said, and I agree with, not all flaws are created equal. I'm just taking the perspective that ZZ flaws break it's internal consistency to the point that makes its overall quality objectively low.
It wouldn't let me respond normally.
@Ap0calypticC Yes I fully agree that all art being subjective is simply incorrect. Correct me if I’m wrong but would it be fair to say that you believe that objective flaws directly affect the objective quality of a work as a whole?
@EvilsBaneX_1369@char_azunyan@Daikazo2 Depends on the framing. I didn't look into everything you said, so I don't have a full picture to agree or disagree with. But u I don't agree inherently because I lack perspective to have an informed opinion
@ZealousSeraphim Well if you were willing to have a discussion instead of just speak complete asinine bullshit, we could have settled this.

@Enterprise9001 Well, as you said, and I agree with, not all flaws are created equal. I'm just taking the perspective that ZZ flaws break it's internal consistency to the point that makes its overall quality objectively low.
@Enterprise9001 If you ever wish to have that discussion. DM me and we can try to set something up.
Otherwise. I'm fine leaving this here, with a difference of opinion on that. Because that's something we can always discuss later.
Oh and I absolutely won't be told objectivety isn't real when they insert objective claims of quality into their argumentation. The entire Oscar Bait point they made contradicts their entire perspective. That's cognitive dissonance.
If you wish to argue he isn't a bad writer, then we can discuss his writing. And you can substantiate your perspective with the text of his work. And i'm open to having my mind changed.
I won't be told objectivity isn't real. That's absurd and meaningless.
@Ap0calypticC There’s no discussion to be had. You believe Tomino to be an objectively bad writer and anyone who argues against that you will just think are flatly wrong.
I don’t know if theres any common ground to be found or productive discussions to be had about art in that framework
@Enterprise9001 Also, you just agreed with me the divide is entirely valid on my end. Thank you. I appreciate you have enough sense to value objectivity.
@Enterprise9001 Also, if you don't care about the flaws for it to detract from your enjoyment. That's fine. I love horribly flawed and terrible things. But I don't lie and pretend that my enjoyment is akin to quality.
@Enterprise9001 What standards? Because my issue is problems with character consistency, logical contradictions, broken world mechanics, things that don't get fixed just because you like the show.
@Enterprise9001 No, i don't. That's false in its entirety.
ZZ has objective flaws that your feelings on it don't erase. That's not subjective in the slightest.
There actually is very few characters that aren't completely assassinated at one point or another in ZZ. Haman, Judau, Elle, Bright. They're slaughtered and it's not even negotiable. What a shit show.
