@El_Kugs@asopher1@DLand91 When viewing interlaced footage on a CRT TV, the motion is amazing. But 1% of motorsports fans are watching old races like that
@pidgezero_one Also I'd argue that boomers nowadays are just as online as zillennials and gen z are, and they sure as hell didn't grow up with the internet
Remember when boomers hated technology? Can we go back to that?
@pidgezero_one Eh, depends on the person I feel. I've interacted with some older millennials who would probably still be considered chronically online, but it's mainly due to them suffering from autism spectrum disorders and have had history struggling to develop/maintain offline social lives
@asopher1@DLand91 Deinterlaced 60fps video still looks great on a CRT TV though. Thanks for the footage uploaded on your Internet Archive page lol https://t.co/TeeT6VXRnd
@asopher1@DLand91 I'd definitely take it over a video deinterlaced in half of the framerate. The raw interlaced video when viewed on a proper CRT TV is best, but I'm weird and am like the only person who would want to view old races that way
@DLand91 It's also important to (properly) upscale your videos if you plan on archiving to platforms like YouTube, because most platforms don't support 60fps in 480p. Programs like Brovicon or StaxRip are great for both deinterlacing and upscaling
GH3 tournament happening at Youmacon 2026 in Detroit, MI. Friday October 30th @ 6pm ET. We'll be running BetterGH3, and extra controllers will be provided by @Jon_Stickman. This is the biggest anime/gaming convention in the state. Hope to see you there. https://t.co/we2PfKZeec
