Oh The Everlasting One, Who does not cease to be, the One, the Truth, the Manifest : You are the most trustworthy and You are the treasure for prayers

If gratitude were a figure who could be seen by an onlooker
I would have copied it so that you might see it and know that I am a grateful person.

A lover’s soul is patient with judgements
For maybe one day he who causes its sickness would heal it

Empty are the houses where my beloved once dwelled
Why is it that when I call, no voice responds?
Pause by the wall of the house and call out for friends.
O houses, where are the kin and companions?

A lover’s soul is patient with judgements

Drowned in the sea of love. A human gazelle with a graceful figure has ensnared me.

You cunning one, stop. Wherefore the blame? My heart is fond and infatuated.

In the early dawn, there is a guide for the perplexed.
This line is in Judeo-Arabic. It comes from a set of poems in Hebrew with only four in Judaeo-Arabic. The Arabic poems are possibly Sufi poems.
