@SamuelOtigba I tax any money that enters into my account 30% and buy mutual funds in Cowrywise.
Doesn't matter how small the money or when the money enters.
some of my financial tips and hacks;
1. your monthly income x 120 = the total you should have invested to replace your income without having to work. for eg: $10,000 x 120 = $1.2m
2. your monthly income x 0.1 = the minimum amount that you should aim to invest every month. for eg: $10,000 x 0.1 = $1,000
3. your monthly salary x 6 = the money you should have invested for emergency on a high-yield savings account, treasury bills or mutual funds. for eg: $10,000 x 6 = $60,000
4. your monthly salary x 0.55 = the maximum that you should spend on needs like housing, food, transportation and bills. for eg: $10,000 x 0.55 = $5,500

Let’s test this
CP -11,700
SP - 12,750
Spread - 1050
Revenue on 300 bags - 3,825,000
Cost of sale - 3,510,000
Gross profit - 315,000
OPEX - ( monthly salary for sales , unloaders -70,000 per month
Cost of rent to hold 300-1000 bags per annum - 2000000 , monthly amortization ( 166,667 )
Miscellaneous- 50,000
Total OPEX - 286,667
EBITDA - 28,333
Let’s apply taxation 0% as it is a new business.
I will also not apply VAT as we can assume client pays that .
This is the monthly EBITDA and by my assumption the PAT .
If we assume a cash conversion cycle of 90 days , it means you will make 28,333 4 times in the year which gives 113,332 in one year .
The ROI on the N3mn in one year in this business based on your own price points is 3.8% .
No insurance premiums were paid .
No taxes collected .
The ROI is 3.8% with RISK .
The Piggyvest you mentioned is 16-20% risk free .
Don’t forget that the chances of survival for a new business in Nigeria is less than 5% .
If you are coming up , master investing and money management before entering into business , especially one you don’t know .
Invest your money and understudy someone else in the business you want to do . Don’t learn from your mistakes, learn from the money mistakes of others in that business and leverage it !
Unethical but legal ways to make money:👇
Go on google and search unclaimed property plus any US state. California alone is holding over $10 billion. Every state in America has a website where they store money which people forgot about. Forgotten bank accounts, uncashed...
Ronaldo reminds me of Davido.
Messi reminds me of Wizkid.
One is a hardworker and talks to the media a lot
The other seems to have a more natural talent and runs away from the media
There are newer talents but people still talk about them after almost 2 decades. They also have longevity in the game. Fans also fight each other because of perceived rivalry.
I rebuke every spirit of entitlement around me. May I be surrounded by people who value respect, gratitude, integrity, and mutual honor. Not everyone is entitled to my time, energy, access, or resources.I choose wisdom in my relationships, discernment in my decisions, and peace in my circle.
My late aunt was pressuring me to buy land in Lekki Phase 1 in 2002 for 500k. My Schlumberger friends also bought land on Alpha Beach Road that same year for about 100k Naira per plot. My aunt died protecting her land. My friends lost all their plots. Lagos real estate isn't for those who lack the energy to fight.
I am just grateful that I never made any of those decisions, as they would have kept dragging me back. Someone from Boston was traveling to Nigeria and asking if we could meet in Lagos. I told him that he travels to Nigeria more frequently than I do. I have been there only twice since the pandemic started.
My only Nigerian real estate regret was not buying fully built houses at State Housing in Calabar in 1999 for 100k each. My guy bought 10 of them, and he never has to work again.
