i prefer to verify everything myself onchain: what @ApexQuants did with the $506k deposited in its first vault on @Infinit_Labs.
the check is simple because there’s only 1 public wallet. every trade is on @HyperliquidX.
here’s what happened:
→ aug 3: $506k deposited in the trading wallet
→ oct 27: last trade, everything closed, $549k
→ +$43.2k = +8.5% in 85 days, before vault fees
annualized, that’s the ~42%.
where the money came from:
→ crypto: +$58.0k (hype, sol, zec, eth, traded both ways)
→ oil & metals: +$12.9k (long brent from oct 1, short gold from oct 19)
→ memory chips: -$24.5k (mu, sndk, sk hynix, dram)
→ other stocks: -$3.1k
that’s the whole point of a dollar-neutral book. on oct 1 it held $226k long and $224k short. it doesn’t need the market to go up. it needs the strong stuff to beat the weak stuff.
their ai-driven method has really proven itself. i’m watching even more closely now.
what’s next:
vault 1 matures today. apex2 will open today, same strategy:
if you're already in vault 1, you have to redeem first, then deposit again. it doesn’t roll over.
not financial advice. trading involves risk, including loss of principal.
Quants are getting anything between $1-3mil base salary, and that’s assuming a very average quant with 3-5 years experience.
Now you can access quant strategies on @Infinit_Labs when the usual Millennium and Citadel are only gated for the UHNWs.
APEX MS Vault Update (annualized 40% max drawdown 3.7%): We decided to close our positions today as the vault comes to the end of its 3-month term. Infinit will be launching the second vault very soon, keep your eyes peel.
APEX MS Vault Update (annualized 41% max drawdown 3.7%): We are currently not putting on new positions given that our vault be closing soon on 28th October.
Signal (we would have traded if our vault isnt closing this week): short Gold, BTC, SPCX
APEX MS Vault Update (annualized 42% max drawdown 3.7%): Crude just hit > $100 again with very large risk off trading in stocks overnight as fears of AI Capex overspend, war not concluding and fears of a dem sweep.
Our algo opened a new short in Gold 3 days ago and we are now up almost 3% from this trade, edging our vault’s high watermark back to ATH.
SPOT GOLD FALLS NEARLY 2% TO $4,063.86/OZ

3/ We continue to make ATH in our high watermark, we are grateful that despite such a choppy environment, our agentic-driven quant has been delivering. All the best.
APEX MS Vault Update (annualized 41% max drawdown 3.7%): Oil > $100 with risk trading weaker towards yesterday's US close post Iran retaliating despite potential peace deal being floated earlier.
2/ Actions:
Taking 1/3 profit in our WTI crude (been up close to 7% since we first put it on last week at $93)
Positions:
Longs: S&P500, Crude Oil, Brent Oil
Shorts: Gold, Nasdaq100, ETH, HYPE, SOL, XRP.
Hedge funds decreased longs and increased shorts last week, likely in a move to preserve what has been a good year, but leaving a huge amount of room for them to eventually reengage with the market.
3/ Our vault hit a high watermark over the weekend despite jitters in the markets; if you are keen to understand more, please feel free to ping us for our latest fact sheet.
APEX MS Vault Update (annualized 38.9% highest watermark with max drawdown 3.7%): Strong bid in Asia with supposedly "Black Monday" happening.
We don't let emotions take over our trading, we just let our systems trade.
APEX MS Vault Update (annualized 31% max drawdown 3.4%): Sold volume across risk assets yesterday may potentially put a short term bottom.
Actions:
