If you meant hominids then the reasons are probably environmental variability. At least we agree you need multiple “defects” to occur for a brunch to develop.

@jp__hooper @___TheGOOdWitch That’s just technology, it has nothing to do with evolution. You need to also appreciate the time scales involved in evolution, the scientists are talking millions of years. Remember Europeans were living in mud huts 🛖 too in the dark ages which is only 1000 years ago.
