Anyone who watches this and says no DPI - you’re either a Rams homer or I seriously question your judgement. It’s an easy DPI call ever time. Push, hold, bigger push.
@IGN You should go back to scoring that includes tenths. You’re handing out 10s like can’t when many of these would be 9.5-9.9 in the old scoring system. It was a terrible decision in the first place.
The economy is not broken, it’s just not built for us.
The strongest middle class we have ever had (1950-1980) is when the top earners were being taxed 70%+.
Then Reagan cut the taxes for the 1% to 28%. He attacked unions and gave manufacturers the green light to send our jobs overseas.
We have never recovered from this.
Joe Biden went to the Supreme Court to get usury student debt relieved.
Donald Trump went to the Supreme Court to restrict voting rights.
Both sides are not the same.
🚨 BREAKING:
One hour after announcing his resignation, U.S. Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Randy George reportedly said:
"Donald Trump should be hospitalized immediately; I doubt his mental fitness. He is leading the U.S. military toward disaster."
BREAKING: The Trump administration has quietly added 37 troops to the Iran war casualty count this week without explanation, 29 Navy sailors and 8 Marines, bringing the total to 880 wounded or dead, per WaPo.
More than half the casualties are now logged under "Overseas Operations" rather than Operation Epic Fury, a reclassification the administration made after the July ceasefire collapsed, with Trump and senior officials claiming since then that the conflict is not a war and Vance saying on September 3 that "right now, there is no active shooting."
It comes a week after as many as five US military deaths are still missing from the same database, a discrepancy that remains unresolved.
The last time US Treasury yields were this high, total US national debt stood at just $8.9 trillion.
Today, US debt stands at $40.1 trillion. That's +$31.2 trillion more, or over 4.5 TIMES higher.
This means every 1 percentage point in the average cost of servicing the debt now translates to ~$401 billion per year in interest expense.
In 2007, the same 1 percentage point translated to just ~$89 billion.
That’s an additional ~$312 BILLION in annual interest expense for every percentage point increase in borrowing cost.
This is a vastly different situation than it was 19 years ago.
The bond market matters more now than ever.
@AndyGlutton_@KobeissiLetter@grok Bush/Trump tax cuts 13-15T
Afghan/Iraq II: ~6T is median of est
GFC/Covid 6T
That’s 25T on the low end caused by Reps admins for being terrible at their job.
@AndyGlutton_@KobeissiLetter@grok lol now ask grok where most of the debt comes from and it will be Trump/Bush tax cuts, Iraq/Afghan War, GFC started by Bush admin/Fed policies, And Covid PPE loans and checks. Almost all of that is attribute to horrible governance by Republican administrations
@PilotCCIE@imright3434@KobeissiLetter No. You said illegals. Now you’re changing wording.
15.8m is high est of illegals in US. If u combine all local/state/Fed costs it = 2% of Fed annual budget. Fine fix it, but it doesnt solve Fed spending/debt/inflation. U have to go after big programs or raise tax’s on wealthy.
@PilotCCIE@imright3434@KobeissiLetter lol, illegals are net positive for economy, but even if they weren’t, welfare is a rounding error on our debt. Want to fix national debt u have to cut military spending, lower interest on debt, increase taxes on ultra wealthy. Everything else is 2 small, unless u gut SS/Medicare
