A proud moment for India on the global stage.
Slovakia has conferred its highest civilian honour, The Order of the White Double Cross (1st Class), on Prime Minister Modi.
This is the 33rd international honour bestowed upon PM Modi by a foreign nation, reflecting the growing stature of India and the respect it commands under his leadership.
Congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and every Indian who takes pride in the nation’s ascent.
We don’t have the appetite for losses. One missile falls on a house in any part except Kashmir and entire opposition will start preaching peace and surrender.
I remember when the BJP claimed that they’d given you footage of money exchanging hands during the 2008 confidence vote. You refused to air it. Yet every tweet of yours reeks of an undeserved air of moral superiority- much like Pakistani diplomacy.
All these nautanki look childish, PM should grow up & have meetings with diaspora to make them be active in local politics, economy, science and help Indian causes.
When foreign nationals proudly embrace Indian culture, celebrate our traditions, wear our attire, speak our languages, or participate in our festivals, most Indians see it as a testament to India’s growing global appeal.
Yet, a small section seems oddly uncomfortable with it. The question is: why?
For decades, India was told that exporting its culture was soft power. Today, when India’s civilisational influence is visible across continents and people from different nationalities willingly associate themselves with it, some commentators suddenly discover a problem.
One also wonders whether this chorus of criticism is spontaneous or coordinated. Is Suhasini Haidar the new ring leader in town, or are the strings being pulled from elsewhere?
India’s cultural confidence should be celebrated, not apologised for.
This criticism misses the point entirely.
When Prime Minister Modi engages with the Indian diaspora abroad, he is not addressing a “troupe”; he is engaging one of India’s greatest strategic assets. The Indian diaspora serves as a bridge between nations, strengthens economic and cultural ties, influences public opinion, and amplifies India’s interests across the world.
Showcasing India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage is not a distraction from diplomacy, it is diplomacy. Every major power invests in soft power because influence is built not only through negotiations behind closed doors but also through ideas, culture, identity, and people-to-people connections.
The results are visible. Indians today enjoy unprecedented visibility, respect, and stature globally. The diaspora has become a force multiplier for India’s economic, technological, academic, and geopolitical influence. From boardrooms and universities to legislatures and innovation hubs, people of Indian origin are shaping global conversations while strengthening India’s standing.
As for substantive engagement, Prime Minister Modi’s foreign visits routinely deliver outcomes on trade, technology, defence, energy, critical minerals, mobility, and strategic partnerships. Those agreements are negotiated and announced through official channels. Public outreach and diaspora engagement complement those efforts; they do not replace them.
Critics would do well to stop whining endlessly about optics and start engaging with outcomes. If there is substantive criticism to be made, make it. Dismissing cultural outreach and diaspora engagement merely reveals a poor understanding of how modern diplomacy and global influence actually work.
Every Indian is wondering why every other Indian didn't invest enough in R&D.
Kabhi bheetar bhi to dekho prabhu!
Khudka paisa FD, dusro ka paisa R&D?!🙏🏻
Taking over of VHP by bjp & rss. They have killed the fighting strength of Bajrang dal. What the party says is the voice of Hindus!!
Same DNA.. Akhand Bharat...
Hinduism need Dharmacharyas who make a different path from Sankaracharyas to fight the BJP take over of Hinduism.
Not one day passed where US heaps more Insults on India ! Yet like Stockholm syndrome our foreign policy establishment cant get enough of America ! Some weird obsession !
In the view of US strikes on commercial shipping killing 3 Indians, and the failure of the US to even express regret, India should call off this meeting between @narendramodi and Trump at the G7.
Instead of upgrading Surat which is just an hour drive from daman, put money for corruption in daman. Feasibility report, economic viability, future footfall... Nothing is done.
Delhi to Daultabad...just because saheb needs to green flag!
Silent Poison Killing India - Many infra projects.. eWays, Airports, Metros etc are Covert Corruption avenues for the BJP.. It uses the gloss & lipstick to cover up crimes.. eg: the unwanted Daman airport.. in the face of many airports shutting down.. https://t.co/DhBhGm8uIH
India is the BRICS chair. It can use this opportunity to strike at the heart of their power - the financial system. But, Indian leadership is impotent & follows dhandho parmo dharma.
