@RembrandtsRoom@FrisoG I donโt doubt the good intentions for one minute but that is an exceptionally long time. If you retired at 65 thereโs not a hope of ever seeing it. Civil servants great plans. Never put an artist in charge of a gallery. I agree with the shift work idea
@FrisoG walking around The Hague, the thought did occur to me that as a society we tend to prioritise โthe futureโ. A lot of buildings going up, construction everywhere and yet we forget our present. The last time I was in The Rijksmuseum it was being restored and the time before. ๐
Always discovering something new in The Rijksmuseum, Ludovico Carracci, The vision of St Francis, 1583. It is written that it is the first depiction of The Virgin in art as a vision to saint Francis. Fulfilling the demands of the council of Trent. Emotion in Art ๐
I am in Utrecht at the Van Honthorst exhibition and it is stunning. It is beautifully curated. The lighting is superb. I have to admit one of the finest exhibitions I have ever seen. A totally immersive experience. I couldnโt recommend it highly enough. Bravo ๐ ๐๐๐
At the van Honthorst exhibition today they had 3 Interactive booths. When you walked in you could hear sounds of the theme of the painting. It was beautifully curated. Hats off to Utrecht Museum Centraal. Brilliantly curated and Spacious. ๐
