The world has gone mad.

🇨🇦 Toronto Metropolitan students were violently attacked today during an event featuring Israeli soldiers hosted by Toronto Metropolitan University’s Community Safety and Security department as part of the national “Combat on Campus” tour.
Moments before the event was set to begin, a masked mob violently broke into the venue and injured one of the invited guests from shattering the glass door. Several students were taken to hospital due to injuries sustained from the attack.

This attack happened as Students for Justice in Palestine TMU, an official TMU approved club rallied just down the street, promoting slogans like
“Zionist murderers” and calling to shut the event down.

According to Toronto Police, a number of people were arrested and there is an ongoing investigation into the incident.

I cannot believe this is Canada 2025.

Perhaps the so-called progressive left hasn’t moved at all! Instead, it’s the NDP and Liberals that have drifted so far to the extremes that those abandoned by these parties appear to have 'joined the right.' In truth, they’ve stayed rooted in their values while the parties they supported veered off course.The longer MPs and MPPs who consider themselves "progressive left" stay silent about far-left elements infiltrating the NDP/Liberal parties, the more long-term damage they will do to every cause they have been fighting for over the years. Yet many continue to ignore the undeniable shift, pretending these parties haven’t transformed into echo chambers for far-left extremism, where dissenters are vilified and silenced under the guise of a rigid, authoritarian agenda. Jack Layton would be heartbroken to see what has become of the NDP—a far cry from the inclusive, principled movement he once led.
