@PLEBarnett A7. I confess. I’m a groupie! A group of2, 3, or 4 works for us in reading and social studies. Our groups are fluid to ensure that every student eventually works with each other. Everyone is an expert at something. @AponteKatrina#KCSPLE
@PLEBarnett A6 My class thought about how our class functions and came up with a list of jobs that needed to be done. Then, they wrote and posted these job openings. Next, student applied for an advertied position convincing me of why they would be the best candidate. @AponteKatrina#KCSPLE
@PLEBarnett A5. Some supports could be the arsenal of strategies we equip our students with in each discipline. Students can lessen frustration and monitor their thinking better when they have options to self soothe or problem solve. @AponteKatrina#KCSPLE
@PLEBarnett A4 I think setting short term goals with students and having them make a plan to achieve that goal helps them beco aware of the own strengths and weaknesses. I’m doing more of this with students this school year. @AponteKatrina#KCSPLE
@PLEBarnett A3 The SPCs are valuable in helping our school, Maynard Elementary, reach our goals involving student achievement. These are valuable academic and life skills for both children and adults. @AponteKatrina#KCSPLE
I’ve been challenged to tweet everyday for the month of August about my school day as a Maynard Tiger. I choose to have courage to step out of my comfort zone to meet this challenge. This is a small purr, but I will learn to roar!
