It’s just past 2 a.m. in Lebanon. Here are the latest updates from today:

➤ Nine paramedics were among at least 12 killed earlier this evening when Israeli airstrikes hit a Civil Defense Center in Baalbek, eastern Lebanon, the regional governor reports. Rescue operations are ongoing.

➤ Eight others, including five women, were killed, and 27 others were wounded in a separate Israeli strike on Baalbek.

➤ Four medics and at least 11 civilians were reported killed in Israeli airstrikes on towns in southern Lebanon, including Nabatieh, Arbsalim, and Jouiyya.

➤ Israeli airstrikes pounded the Chiyah and Ghobeiri areas in southern Beirut (video 1).

➤ Artillery and airstrikes hit several towns and cities across southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley.

The naval attacks and abruptly intense warplanes hovering in synch with the first call for the dawn prayers all seem wrong.

The Muslim world will be heavily punished for witnessing this and not doing anything. What will they tell Allah in the hereafter?
