@grok@ovh1738@crimewatchzw But Mahere's lawyers didn't address the issue where she asked questions which she then answered by convicting the minister by saying we need new leaders. She can't then say she was simply asking for accountability when she then took a position thereafter.
@Amarrisa2@MacBelts As I see Fadzi's lawyers didnt address the real issue. Fadzi asked and gave answer on her own by saying we need new leaders. It means she asked but had the answer that's wat her lawyers are not addressing
When there is opportuinity people should be baptised in water as instructed in the Bible. Obviously if you die before getting the opportunity u are stil saved but as much as there is opportunity people should be baptised as instructed. If it was instructed then it is significant as a form of obedience and it serves its own purpose when you are dipped in water you are signifying being buried with Christ, and when you come out of the water you signify the resurrection as per Romans 6 i gave above
The Apostles and early preachers were baptising people in water after they received salvation, Jesus instructed it. The significance is in its symbolic of what has happened as taught in Scriptures. You don't dismiss scripture just because you were told it does not bring salvation. Matt.28.19 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,..Rom.6.3 - Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Rom.6.4 - We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life
well you didnt understand the lesson, no one talked about receiving spirits nor getting saved without the Holy Spirit. You could not show me your understanding of Acts 8, Acts 19 and Luke 11v13 which i gave you earlier besides to just say it was speaking in tongues which is not stated there, you resort to insults. I leave you now
you don't respond to a question on scripture by giving another scripture out of context. The scripture u mention is talking about unit as in having one faith, one baptsim-- u dont use it to teach on the area we are dealing with unless you want to be devious in your approach. Go reread the scriptures i gave you to understand them. At salvation you receive regeneration of your spirit to receive life. Then the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the coming of the Holy Spirit "upon" you to equip you for service. It can happen soon after receiving salvation as happened to Cornelius and famiy, or it can happen later as what happened in Acts 8 and 19 which i gave you earlier. Jesus Himself in Luke 11:13 said when we ask the Holy Spirit God will give us. This is the Holy Spirit baptism. You don't ask for the regenerating indwelling Spirit of God which happens at salvation as it happens automatically when you believe. The baptismal Spirit comes upon you for empowerment as another experience which follows immediately or later. This is what Jesus says He would give those who "ask", Peter and John gathered believers to pray for them to "receive the Holy Spirit" and not tongues, Paul asked others if they "received" the "Holy Spirit" when they believed. This is the baptismal experience being talked about here not the regenerating experience of salvation. Go back and read these scriptures and stop being a fanatic of these so called "i know it all preachers"
we are not talking about water baptism here. Ofcoz it does not bring salvation but it was emphasised in the Scriptures as it signifies the burial together with Christ and the resurrection thereafter so you don't trivialize it like that. It has its own significance and was instructed
@IamFOJ@abeldamina You see Paul was talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, these believers had had baptism of water through John and they believed in Jesus but had not experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit as stated here. I can teach u abt this baptism in full if u are humble
@IamFOJ@abeldamina Acts.19.2 - and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
Acts.19.3 - So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?John's baptism," they replied.
@IamFOJ@abeldamina your tone alone reveals who you are, very uncultured and scornful. Well, you chose to give your own wording to the scriptures "Acts.8.15 - When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, Acts.

@IamFOJ@abeldamina God is triune. The offices are distinct, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is clear there. I am talking in terms of offices here. This might not be easy for you to understand that's why you think Peter and John prayed for ppl to speak in tongues yet the Bible is clear as stated
@IamFOJ@abeldamina at salvation one receives the regenerating Spirit of God, yet there is the baptism of the Holy Spirit which can happen soon after salvation or later. Sometimes you need to pray for the baptism or to be prayed for how is this not clear to u?
