AASLD is deeply concerned by the May 29 Executive Order directing a review of U.S. childhood vaccine recommendations, including #hepatitisA and #hepatitisB vaccination policies.
Vaccination remains one of the most effective tools for preventing #liverdisease. AASLD strongly supports maintaining evidence-based hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccination recommendations, which have helped dramatically reduce infections, chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer in the U.S.
Protecting children from preventable infectious diseases must remain a national priority.

Man City about to get their 3rd £100mil signing after Grealish and Gvadiol
Chelsea spent over £100mil on Enzo Fernandez and Caicedo
Liverpool spent over £100mil on Wirtz and Isak
Arsenal spent over £100mil on Rice
Man Utd has never spent over £100mil on any player but we're the ones ruining football with crazy transfer fees 🤷🤷
Ayurveda is also pseudoscience, not only Homeopathy. And so are Naturopathy, Unani and Siddha. There is no "better" pseudoscience. They are all utter nonsense. Also, Homeopathy too, is a whole lot of herbs and herbal tinctures, also making it "natural". No one really reads the history of medicine! Ayurveda enjoys a bit more acceptance in general because it is rooted in Hinduism. Poor Homeopathy has only cult level status, no Gods to refer to. That said, the level of science literacy in this country is abysmal.
This is the silent part that people wouldn't know.
Behind closed doors inside a medical conference, a large group of clinicians and researchers giving a standing ovation to another group of clinicians and researchers who found a way to increase survival in patients suffering from one of the, if not the, worst cancer in humans.
Metastatic pancreatic cancer.
They'll do this and then be on their way to see their patients the next day as if nothing happened.
And then work on something new to better what they did in this room.
That is how medical science works.
Value it and value its practitioners.
As a non-oncologist, i feel quite comfortable jumping on the bandwagon here. I can count the number of times I've seen unsolvable problems in medicine get solved in my lifetime. No, this is not a cure, but there has been no greater challenge than pancreatic cancer. Nothing worked. Now this...
These results are simply spectacular

RAS finally getting drugged is one of the great stories in modern biology, and almost nobody outside oncology understands why it's such a big deal.
YOU'LL LEARN SOMETHING AWESOME TODAY.
i am going to keep this as understandable (and simple) as i can.
OPEN THE THREAD.
🧵
For decades, KRAS was the poster child of the "undruggable" oncogene.
This study showing a doubling of survival with KRAS inhibition feels like a watershed moment in oncology.
Beyond a new drug, it represents the triumph of persistence, structural biology, and translational science over a seemingly impossible target.
If these results hold across broader settings, we may be witnessing the beginning of a Nobel-worthy chapter in cancer therapeutics. #Oncology #KRAS #CancerResearch

Residency tip:
Never build your self-worth from one senior’s mood of the day.
In residency, the same case can get: “Excellent work” from one consultant, “Who taught you this nonsense?” from another.
Take criticism seriously. Do not take every reaction personally.
Your real growth comes from:
> repeating cases,
> reading after duty,
> seeing patterns,
> surviving pressure,
> and slowly becoming dependable at 3 AM when nobody else is around.
Farewell to Mohamed Salah.
A faintly ridiculous 193 goals and 93 assists in the Premier League. 286 goal involvements in 327 appearances — a record surpassed only by Alan Shearer (324) and Wayne Rooney (311), both of whom made at least 100 more appearances.
The only player to have been named PFA Player of the Year three times.
One of English football’s greatest imports and Africa’s greatest exports. A phenomenon #LFC

This is not mine. This is yours. This is ours.
From all the players, staff and everyone involved in the club, to you guys who supported us every single day of the season.
Grateful for your love and support ❤️
I’m incredibly intrigued by the rise of #CockroachJantaParty, which has already reached more than 15 million followers on @Instagram in just five days.
I understand the frustrations of the youth and see why they are resonating with it. This is precisely why the account being withheld on X is disastrous and deeply unwise - there should be an outlet for the youth to express their feelings and so, let CJP’s account function instead of shutting it down! Democracies need outlets for dissent, humour, satire and even frustration.
I am uncertain about the future of this movement but I hope the youngsters behind it find a way to bring this energy into mainstream politics or perhaps express it through their vote to be a voice of change and in doing so, become impossible to ignore. This is an opportunity that the Opposition must seize.

@Blesing_Andrew Pathetic kit. Zero innovation. Nothing to set it apart. The last good home jersey was the 23/24 season with the Yorkshire rose embedded.
Medicine being called a “noble profession” has been used for years to guilt doctors into accepting burnout, underpayment, and terrible working conditions.
Resident doctors in India are ALREADY registered medical practitioners with a full registration that comes with its own previliges and responsibilities.
Postgraduate students, although being students, are fully entitled to the same reciprocation that any registered doctor would otherwise get.
Sometimes some of the nonmedical people do not know this fact and tend to equate them to undergraduate students.
