@AmericanAir My daughter has had a disappointing an experience with your airline tonight. She is a type 1 diabetic and carries critical medical supplies when she travels. Per @FAANews guidelines, she has a legal right and medical necessity to keep these supplies on her person and in the main cabin at all times when she flies. Your agents at @CHSInc prohibited her from flying with her bag containing these supplies tonight and forced her to gate check them to her final destination. She is traveling internationally and will now be without the supplies she medically needs to survive for the next 24 hours. Shame on you and your staff.

Thank you I will. She is en route to Philadelphia and then to Heathrow.
It’s been a bad week for us as a family. I was diagnosed with cancer and encouraged her to go on her vacation as scheduled despite she wanted to cancel. She was in tears tonight after this encounter. We are all human and a little kindness would have gone a long way.
