"...You gotta be hard..."

You have to be hard on those around you and times and learn when to just say no. We can't do everything and it isn't a failing to admit that.

..."you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser..."

as patients, we have to be bold and ask those questions and be wiser and learn about our disease so that we can be better advoctes for our own health care.

"You gotta be bad
you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser
you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough
you gotta be stronger"

Whilst we don't hold with being bad, these lyrics from Des'ree sum up for us how we have to be as patients...

How have you become stronger since your diagnosis?

It is with a heavy heart that we share that our friend and colleague, Dr Georgina Morgan has died. We have been honoured to have Georgina as a Trustee here at Pseudomyxoma Survivor for over two years.

These lyrics from a song by Sara Bareilles remind us that sometimes we bottle up our feelings and it can be better to find someone to share just how brave you are by discussing them instead. Do you have someone to be brave with?

Why Me?

We all ask ourselves this when we receive a diagnosis of #pseudomyxomaperitonei or #appendixcancer. If you've looked after yourself, eaten well and are a non-smoking, teetotaller marathon runner, you must feel particularly perplexed.
