The APPG on NRPF hosted @UnitedImpactUK's exhibition entitled “A Voice For The Voiceless" in parliament on the 10th of January 2024. For anyone who missed this important exhibition the material has now been made available as an ebook https://t.co/bwChcd0OSd
📕 We’re marking a new chapter in our work with people with no recourse to public funds (NRPF).
🖊️We have now concluded our role providing co-secretariat of the @AppgNRPF .
🥊Read about the group's excellent work and how we're continuing the fight.

Thank you to Just Fair for all your work with the APPG on NRPF. We will continue to work closely with you to end the NRPF policy - "a serious breach of economic, social and cultural rights" which "regularly plunges people into destitution and locks them into cycles of poverty."

At launch of “Voice for the Voiceless: Through the lens of lived experience” exhibition and report by the excellent @UnitedImpactUK addressing No Recourse to Public Funds hosted by @KateOsamor
Shockingly Boris Johnson had never heard of this blatant violation of human rights
Thanks to our friends @UnitedImpactUK for putting on this powerful photo exhibition showing the reality of living life with No Recourse to Public Funds.
NPRF is a punitive policy which needs to be scrapped.
We are grateful to Baroness Ruth Lister for attending our event at @UKParliament yesterday, and for the opportunity to discuss our photographs and book showing the reality of the #NRPF policy.
@CoventryCAWR
It was wonderful to meet @zarahsultana MP, and discuss our joint PhotoVoice exhibition and book produced with @CoventryCAWR. The photos and book highlight the harmful effects of the #NRPF policy, including homelessness, food poverty, and generational trauma.
#EndNRPF
Today I visited Outsiders exhibition in the House of Commons, organised by @AppgNRPF and sponsored by @crisis_uk.
The photo portraits by @MarcDavenant exposed the realities of the homelessness crisis in Britain and remind us why we continue to campaign for change.

The Government's shameful new Rwanda Bill rips basic rights away from people seeking safety, puts everyone else's at risk, and places Gov above the law
MPs will vote on the Bill on Tuesday

We're devastated to hear an individual onboard the Bibby Stockholm barge has died by suspected suicide.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones and all those affected.
This is the price of treating people seeking safety here as less than human.

Families living on low incomes subject to the #NRPF condition (effectively cut off from the welfare safety net) have struggled enormously to make ends meet over the last few years with no extra help with the #costofliving.
Here’s what today’s #AutumnStatement will do for them🧵
Yet more evidence showing that migrant survivors are put at risk simply for reporting their abuse.
We support the #StepUpMigrantWomen coalition's call for a firewall between the police & Immigration Enforcement.
This would allow survivors to seek support & justice without fear.
We’re horrified to hear the Home Secretary describe sleeping rough as a “lifestyle choice,” while it’s her department’s policies that are pushing people onto the streets🧵

We're asking people affected by NRPF restrictions to share their experiences of the cost of living crisis again - please consider filling out this survey or share with anyone you think might be interested in taking part https://t.co/uNOdMQYsIE
🚨New survey launch🚨
We are researching the cost of living crisis, rising visa fees and their impact on people who have migrated to the UK.
If you have No Recourse to Public Funds, would you consider sharing your experiences with us?
