Here are a few images from our opening performance of Broadside. It was an honor to bring this story to the stage as our country marked its 250th birthday, Broadside is a musical about ordinary Americans finding their voice. Thanks to everyone who joined us.
Before the first shot… there was the dock. Moored at Griffin's Warf is the Dartmouth, heavy with East India tea. The words travel fast here, from ship to shore, like the broadsides posted in town, the original social feed. Men debating taxes, rights, and what “liberty” means.
Before taxis there were carriages... In Colonial Boston, horse-drawn carriages served as the early taxi system. You might spot one rolling past Faneuil Hall or pulling up near Old South Meeting House with a broadside on back, wheels creaking and hooves striking the brick streets.
Before feeds and timelines… there was Nine Men’s Morris. Colonists played this strategy game using corn kernels on a scratched wooden board. You’d spot it in taverns, near Faneuil Hall, or along the docks at Griffin’s Wharf, quiet competition beneath debates about liberty.
It's 1770, you open the door of a tavern near Boston and the room hums with low voices, flickering candlelight and whispered debates about liberty. On the wall, a broadside, ink still wet, the original social meme. On stage a messy breakup, Britain and America, are losing trust.
Every year, before our last performance, we take one final cast picture on stage together. It’s our way of holding onto the laughter, the love, and the little family we built together. This year’s journey has been nothing short of wonderful. ❤️🎭✨
Here's a link to our cast album playlist on Soundcloud. The songs are from our LIVE performances of Absurd Hero at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival recorded at Willow Studio at Riddles Court between August 4th through 9th and there's a fan in the room. 🎭https://t.co/Ml7Ceqh7NC
Here's a live video of Absurd Hero, filmed in 4K and edited from different nights and camera angles. It feels like you're in the action, the comedy, and the chaos. This is about as close as it comes to being there.🎭

When I was a younger, theatre troupes would stay up all night just to grab a fresh-right-off-the-press copy of their show’s review in Variety. These days, it's mostly digital but there’s something special about sitting down with a scone, a latte, and a hardcopy of your review. 🎭
What Do You Get When You Mix Camus, Greek Gods, and a Homeless Camp?✨Absurd Hero—The Funniest Existential Crisis You’ll Ever Sing Along To!
August 1–9 at Greenside @ Riddles Court. Why? As Camus might say: because we must imagine theatregoers as happy. Join us in the struggle.
With only five minutes to load in and out at Fringe, your set design has to be flexible and fast. Once we create a concept that’s both functional and true to the show, we use ChatGPT to mock up the layout in our actual venue.
We open Aug 1st at Fringe.

Here's a trailer we created at our first rehearsal. It's fun to do this sort of thing. We're now in the production phase of the project and we always ask all the members of our small troupe to join in on the creation process. @edfringe@GreensideVenue@absurdheroshow
