This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety.

It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.

In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.

@Howard_Pen4Rent I have always wondered how white men who benefit from the color of their skin feel about the perception some may have that their achievements - however fully earned - may be largely due to bias in favor of their skin color or family connections. This is unhealthy for society.

@ChancyHales @JoJoFromJerz Except that in these cases, universities use legacy systems to give preferential treatment to some students over others. If your family has benefited from past racist college admissions practices, you’re more likely to benefit from these legacy systems today.

@343_Brown @sophwilkinson We could ask that question of anyone who decides to have children of their own vs. adopting. Those who have done fertility treatments and have embryos may not be able to carry any pregnancy or another pregnancy to term but can work with a surrogate.

@343_Brown @sophwilkinson They had to use IVF previously, so they have had difficulties conceiving. Then, she experienced pregnancy loss and had complications, including extreme blood loss. I would say they are the exact type of couple that surrogacy would be right for.
