The racist, dehumanising remarks against @KMbappe by Paraguayan Sen. Celeste Amarilla are despicable, regrettably not isolated.
States & sports organisations must prevent acts of racism & discrimination, and ensure independent and effective accountability. Social media must also prevent and address racial discrimination on their platforms.

Madame Celeste Amarilla,
24-YEAR-OLD ALLEGEDLY MURDERED OVER BEER PAYMENT DISPUTE
By Edna Mwiimbi Tembo
A 24-year-old man of Lusaka's Garden House Compound has allegedly been murdered following a dispute over the alleged non-payment for beer.
The deceased, identified as Tackson Hanene, is reported to have been attacked by several individuals after knocking off from work in the Light Industrial Area on Saturday evening 4th July,2026.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi, Hanene and a colleague stopped at a local drinking place in Garden House Compound, where an argument allegedly broke out over payment for beer.
Police say Hanene fled from the premises but was allegedly chased and assaulted by the owner of the shop and several other people.
He was later found lying unconscious near Good Life Shop and was rushed to Kanyama Level One Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, following the incident, some members of the public looted a shop believed to be linked to the matter before police moved in to restore calm and secure the remaining property, including a Toyota Surf motor vehicle.
Police have since arrested one suspect, 30-year-old Simon Siamampande of Garden House Compound, while investigations continue. Authorities say efforts are underway to apprehend other suspects believed to have been involved in the alleged murder.
