The first sunrise of summer shines over a place that helped shape one of America's most influential presidents.
Theodore Roosevelt came to the North Dakota Badlands seeking adventure and left with a deeper appreciation for the nation's wild places.
Happy first day of summer from Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
Happy summer solstice ☀️
Today marks the start of astronomical summer in the Northern Hemisphere and the longest stretch of daylight. It’s the day the Northern hemisphere is most tilted toward the Sun. https://t.co/k0qPHyGw5l
Your periodic reminder Washington Democrats, by passing the Climate Commitment Act and increasing gas taxes, saved us from becoming India by the end of 2025.
By 2030 Washington will be offsetting the entire emissions of China.
@MatthewWielicki Right. Same in the Pacific Northwest. The point remains that our modern cities retain huge amounts of heat due to all the concrete and asphalt. We need to look at ALL the causes of so-called climate change to make legitimate, sound policy decisions on dealing with it.
France is in a heatwave.
Meanwhile, almost nobody wants to talk about the fact that Europe has added hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of heat-absorbing concrete, asphalt, roads, parking lots, and buildings since 1950.
We're told every hot day is proof of a CO₂-driven climate crisis.
But replacing natural landscapes with giant heat-retaining surfaces couldn't possibly matter?
That's not science... That's propaganda.
I support your father AND I strongly disagree with his handling of Iran. We need to finish it. We opened the door for IRCG in '79 and are directly responsible for untold suffering by the Persian people since then. This was our opportunity to rectify a breathtaking injustice as well as the ongoing terrorism, the latter of which I am not convinced has been adequately addressed either.
No one wants a forever war. But no one also wants to capitulate to the number 1 sponsor of global terror who just murdered 40 thousand of their own civilians in the streets because they want liberation from that terror. America is either going to fight evil or stay at home and ignore it to appease podcastistanians-you can’t do both. Pick one.
You rarely see legacy media highlight this side of Elon
Starlink has been made free for people in disaster zones when they needed communication the most
They will run endless hit pieces, fake outrage, twisted headlines, and nonstop propaganda
But when SpaceX gives people a lifeline during disasters? Total silence
Anything that shows Elon doing real good gets buried, because it does not fit the version of him they spent years trying to sell
So instead of showing the lifeline, they push the villain story
They want people to hate Elon with the version they invented
Summer wildflowers bring vibrant color to Beartooth Pass in Montana.
Enjoy the view and have a great weekend!
