This is why I find the 'Cape Independence' parties and their affiliated partners, the FF+, abhorrent. A formal, planned and architecturally designed, landscaped mixed-used development which includes low-cost housing, eg. Conradie Park in Pinelands, is not a "squatter camp" 👇
SHOCKING: The DA is planning to turn the 115yr old historic Mowbray Golf Course into low-cost housing!

This is but one of many development projects that the DA has been pushing throughout Cape Town over the last two decades.
It seems they are intent to destroy the very essence and beauty of what Cape Town is.
Please support CAPEXIT as we oppose this low cost housing development project and fight to save our beautiful Cape Town.

@Marietha64@JackMillerCPT@Our_DA@helenzille Maybe not you but here's a dose of reality - 2024 WC election results:
DA 55.58%
FF+ 1.45%
'Cape Exit', 'Cape Independence' et al - didn't even feature
Maybe the DA will lose some support this year but noise on social media is not reality.
Midvaal municipality secured a record seven awards across multiple categories at the SALGA local government awards for Gauteng Dominating the competition. Best overall performer. Why is this? What could it be that distinguishes Midvaal from the other Gauteng municipalities? 🤔
“The ideal subject of totalitarianism... is people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction, true and false, no longer exists.”

Yes, Ms. Marie Antoinette. There is a larger golf course right next door, Rondebosch Common, Keurboom Park, Rondebosch Park ... so plenty of large, green open spaces in the area for recreation.
This is hardly surprising.
Ideologically, there is no distinction between the DA and the ANC. The only difference is that the DA steals less and is infinitely more efficient.
Fitch’s upgrade of South Africa from BB- to BB shows that the responsible economic path pursued at Treasury is delivering results.
Our path of fiscal discipline means lower borrowing costs, slower debt growth and ultimately more resources for public services and economic growth.
It may not have been his intention, but Warrant Officer Karl Sander spoke on behalf of thousands upon thousands of men and women with integrity that still work in the SAPS/DPCI.
Over the last few days so many members spoke of him in such high regard even though not personally knowing him. They all say he is spot on with what many of them experience daily.
The way he was treated is exactly what so many experience when they do the right thing and act with integrity.
Remember just recently a member that committed suicide in Gauteng due to workplace treatment. The irony is that many of those who dish out the ill treatment are either vehemently corrupt and/or incompetent.
It gives me hope to see more and more experienced junior and middle management level police members speaking up and stepping forward. They are the ones that attempt to hold the very thin blue line and actually do deserve to be the colonels, brigadiers and generals.
Their resilience is what is increasing the momentum of the clean up. Thank you to those members, and a very special thank you (even though it cannot ever be enough) to W/O Sander🫡

This is the dividend of the GNU’s fiscal policy, which is built on an alignment between Treasury, the Presidency and the DA. Would be impossible with the EFF or MK in the government.
Micro-economic reforms, however, are too few and too slow. If we want growth, we need more, faster.
WOZA WEEKEND!🤩
Khayelitsha brought the energy today and we were here for every moment of it!
The day started right: coffee at Siki’s, then straight to Mteto’s Child Villa - a boutique villa hotel in the heart of Khayelitsha. We were welcomed with a live marimba band, and before long, I was invited to join in!🪘
Mteto’s Child Villa draws business travellers from Joburg, Gqeberha, even the US and it’s also where young tourism and hospitality students are doing their practicals, building real skills in their own community.
Let’s continue to shop local, eat local, stay local! And to every entrepreneur with an idea? This is what’s possible. Start where you are.

WATCH: I celebrate Lungelwa Ciliba, a librarian at Dunoon library, and many others like her - dedicated, passionate staff members who are committed to making Cape Town the City of Hope.
This is a wonderful video testament to her work. 📚👏
I think you will be significantly outnumbered by people who detest the GOOD Party. The election results in the WC tell this story -
DA (55.58%) vs GOOD (1.13%) vs Rise Mzansi (0.51%)
