pumpfun has been quietly building its own mascot for the last 6 months: Apu Apustaja.
They've been constantly posting Apu, yet nobody has actually turned it into the runner it should be. Apu is part of the legendary PEPE meme family, one of the most iconic memes on the internet. We've seen countless PEPE launches on Solana, but we'll never get the "official" PEPE runner here. Meanwhile, pumpfun has basically made Apu their own PEPE and uses him as a bullish mascot for the ecosystem.
The last mascot pumpfun heavily bullposted was Cupsey, and Cupsey ran to $20M. The thesis here is simple: every time pumpfun pushes Apu, the narrative gets stronger.
At the same time, people like Ansem keep saying we need a real meme season again. That doesn't happen by chasing attention coins. Attention coins last a few days before the timeline moves on to the next thing. Real memes have history, identity, and can survive multiple cycles.
So here's the plan.
I'm buying 40% of the OG APU and using the tech I built to airdrop it to the top 10,000 $PUMP holders. If PUMP holders believe in pumpfun, it only makes sense that they also hold the mascot that's been representing pumpfun this whole time.
Let's stop bidding attention.
Let's bring memes back.
