@windbourne_grr @BrianGitt It's almost impossible to compare because the generation and storage can be separate (unlike trad power stations).

You could provide generation and storage separately within a distributed grid.

It's like a modular power station (Also known as, virtual power stations).

We would love to see it deployed on Lake Titicaca in Peru/Bolivia.

Not only is it at 4,000 meters above sea level (13,000ft) where there is less atmosphere, but it's cool and lacking cloudy days.

@windbourne_grr @BrianGitt That's not the fault of solar PV technology, that's just politics.

Solar power is comparatively cheap on a dollar per kWh, all costs included, at installation.

While keeping the status quo is cheapest, the reality is that retaining it is suicidal.

Just like in finance, the more diversified and decentralised your energy generation is, the more resilient your country is.

CCS should be a tool for when there is little other choice, like in certain metallurgical and industrial processes.
