These past weeks have been heavy due to the harm that ICE has inflicted on communities both here in Arkansas and across the nation. Today, another loss of life by our own government under the guise of protecting us.
We can make change locally. Today, Washington County sells federal beds to ICE that disappears hundreds of our community members. With a 30 day notice, Judge Deakins & Sheriff Cantrell can end this practice. Will you call and email?

STOP THE ARKANSAS PRISON BOOK BAN
Starting February 1, 2026, the Arkansas DOC will prohibit all books, magazines, and newspapers from being mailed to incarcerated people. In December 2025, passed the ban, stating that it is an attempt to stem the flow of drugs into system
