When Greeks learned of a landmass between the Red Sea & Gulf via Alexander’s sea expeditions, the whole landmass took the name of its known part in the North – Arabia. For Greeks, 'Arabia' originally referred to Eastern Egypt.

Answer: No. Arabic was spoken in the North at Dumat Al Jandal & Tabuk but it spread to the South Later. The Region was Linguistically diverse.

St Epiphanius was a Native of Central Palestine. In the 4th Century AD, he wrote about the Arabs of his Region performing a Pilgrimage during October-November named 𝘈𝘨𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘣𝘢𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩 ('Hajj Al Bayt'). This 'Bayt' could be in Petra, Iram, Mecca or another Arab City.
