JAMIA MOSQUE 100YRS
Jamia Mosque Nairobi, Kenya's largest Islamic centre, marks 100 years this week since its inception in 1925. Jamia will today launch a book that captures this remarkable journey, and rebrand it's Horizon TV by renaming it Jamia TV, among other week-long activities.
The construction of the mosque started only 20 yrs after the Zionists Congress in London voted to reject their settlement in Kenya's Uasin Gishu county & opted for Palestine.
The mosque construction was completed in 1933, the same year the British colonialists facilitated the Haavara Agreement that allowed migration of thousands of German Jews to Palestine despite huge protests by the Palestinians.
1933 was the year Izzeddin al-Qassam, a Syrian-born Muslim preacher and early anti-Zionist militant formed the paramilitary Black Hand group to resist the British rule. His name and legacy were adopted by Hamas for its armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades. Hamas uses al-Qassam's story of martyrdom and armed struggle to inspire its members and legitimize its resistance ideology.
2025 also marks 77 years since the illegal Zionist occupation of Palestine began. Sadly, this month marks 2 yrs since the Gaza genocide began.
On Sunday 2nd November, Kenyans will gather at Uhuru Park to plant 10,000 trees to mark the resistance by our brothers. Come & make your history by planting a tree so that our children will remember this genocide.
May Allah grant the Syed Abdallah Shah who constructed Jamia Mosque Nairobi Jannatul Firdhous.

During such a difficult period, we are reminded of the words of the Quran:Every soul shall taste death.
If I am to start,I will have no words. For now,we offer our sincere prayers to the country & to our continent for the loss of a great man.
May Allah grant us Husnul Khatimah.
@shuriye_Abdul Your voice carries the pain of the voiceless and the strength of a thousand hearts. A young young human rights defender a lecturer your bravery in speaking about the missing people is not just admirable, it’s necessary. You are a light in a place many fear to look.

I am deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic incident that occurred in the early hours of this morning in Bodhai, Madah Adon, where a deadly improvised explosive device (IED) attack claimed the lives of Mohamed Shabel Bashir and Abdikadir Muhumed Salat.
This senseless act of violence is a painful reminder of the persistent threats facing our communities and underscores the urgent need to safeguard the lives of our citizens.
I urge our national and regional security agencies to act swiftly and decisively identify and bring the perpetrators to justice.
May Allah have mercy on them and grant them Janatul Al Firdous.
...a special place in hell is booked/reserved for those MUSLIMS in authority/power who steal from the poor citizens (ie the Wretched of the Earth in Mandera, Garissa, Wajir, Marsabit, Isiolo, Mombasa, Lamu, Tana River, Kwale etc...) who elected them.
Such a refined and balanced fragrance. I love how it opens with a clean floral freshness and settles into a soft, musky finish..Great choice for both daily wear and special occasions

I am deeply saddened and outraged by the unfortunate incident in Kurunjo grazing area, Hadi location in Hulugho Ward where KDF special forces( LRS) ambushed and attacked innocent cattle herders who had ventured into Boni Forest in search of pasture due to the ongoing drought. This unprovoked attack resulted in the tragic loss of one life, over 10 seriously injured , many including women and children missing and over 5000 herds of cattle unaccounted for in boni forest.
Ijara constituency is today in a state of fear and helplessness in the eyes of those it perceived as it's protectors!
I strongly condemn this heinous act of brutality against my people. Our pastoralist communities have long relied on traditional grazing routes and in times of severe drought, they have no choice but to move in search of pasture for their livestock which is their only source of livelihood.
It is unacceptable and irresponsible of the government that instead of offering assistance to communities struggling with drought, security forces have resorted to abductions, fear and brutally murdering our people and destroying their properties and belongings.
I call upon the Ministry of Defence and relevant government agencies to immediately investigate this incident, give medical care to those injured, give humanitarian assistance to those who are rendered destitute, search for those people plus their livestock missing in the forest and take action against those responsible.
