In my usual way, quietly driving my small car, I was simply on my way to honour my dear friend, Sammy Kowendi. I still miss him so much. Little did I know that Prudence Joan had planned a surprise.

They picked up reflectors from the store, and before I knew it, people were lining the roads, hooting and cheering. It was such an overwhelming moment.

I only wish that after all the campaigns and the pursuit of power, our politicians would remember to return to the people and give back to society.

I made a promise we will provide water to Kabiyet Boys and now, after 40 days of mourning, we have come together to celebrate a life that touched so many.

@CheptooMorei The law recognizes Sabaot as a tribe in the 52+ tribes in Kenya. No where in Kenyan laws that identify Kalenjin as a tribe. So be informed if you're a Kalenjin Tribe you are not identified holding illegal ID. Denounce Kalenjin tag & say you're a Sabaot.

If you refer me as a kalenjin you will offend me. Refer to me as a Kipsigis because that is my tribe and the law recognizes me as such. Kipsigis is one of the 52+ tribes in Kenya. There is no tribe called kalenjin. @DonaldBKipkorir what tribe are you?

At Kaimosi University this morning, I began with a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, where we discussed the University’s contribution to human capital development and its role in supporting national transformation through quality higher education.

Thereafter, I met with National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO) from the region to discuss key priorities in national administration, including the timely issuance of national identity cards, the strengthening of security at the grassroots, and the fight against drug and alcohol abuse.

I commended our NGAO officers for their steadfast commitment to public service and the vital work they undertake in every village and location across the country. As the Government’s frontline administrators, they remain central to maintaining peace and security, facilitating access to Government services, protecting families and young people, and ensuring effective implementation of national programmes.

I emphasised that efficient issuance of national identity cards is essential to enabling citizens to access opportunities, Government services and exercise their constitutional rights. Strong grassroots administration remains the foundation of effective governance, inclusive development and a secure nation.

Present during the courtesy were Principal Secretaries @Dr_JaneImbunya, Dr. @Bettymuganda17, Dr. @BonfaceBMakokha and @DrJumaMukhwana, KAFU ,VC,Peter Mwita among other learders.
