Heartbreaking! @NegarMojtahedi at Iran International interviews a father whose 17-year-old son was killed by the regime inside a hospital. He still had a breathing tube in his mouth when regime suppression forces fired a final shot and killed him.

Where are you, Dr. Saeid Shafee Khan?
Doctors in Iran are being arrested for saving lives.
Treating patients is not a crime. Be their voice.

Today, I've received information from #ElhamModaressi’s sisters, indicating widespread doubts and uncertainty surrounding her ongoing Liver Transplant procedure on various social media platforms. Upon reviewing certain posts, it seems that there are accounts intentionally or inadvertently attempting to discredit their assertions. Regrettably, many of these posts are founded on destructive criticism and harbor malicious intent.
Significant developments are unfolding behind the scenes. I can confirm that multiple hepatologists in the United States have thoroughly examined her medical records and have engaged in direct communication, transmitting Elham’s medical files to a Liver Transplant Center in Turkey to expedite the process. Unfortunately, due to security considerations, I am unable to provide additional details at this time. Nevertheless, be reassured that proactive steps are being taken.
Unfortunately, the assessment process for a living-donor liver transplant is a time-consuming procedure that can take weeks if all goes smoothly. This comprehensive evaluation involves various tests such as blood tests, a CT scan, and MRI scans to determine the suitability of a potential living donor. The donor interacts with the donor team, comprising a surgeon, medical doctor, and psychiatrist, on multiple occasions. The living-donor team plays a crucial role in assessing the feasibility and appropriateness of living donation for the potential donor. Assuming the potential donor is in good health and proves to be a suitable match, the planning for the surgery begins. A surgery date is selected, and the living donor team engages in discussions with the donor regarding the final details. Once the donor confirms acceptance, the surgery date is scheduled, typically within a two-week timeframe. However, it's important to note that sometimes the live donation may not materialize, necessitating a repetition of the entire donor assessment process.
Kindly exercise patience and show consideration for what Elham and her family are presently experiencing.
