Time teaches you how to live with the absence. It never teaches your heart how to stop missing them.

I’m feeling a little low today.

Next month marks another year since I lost my son in 2004. More than two decades have passed, yet some dates never become just another date on the calendar.

Life carries on. You work. You smile. You laugh. You love. You learn to live again.
But grief has its own clock.

Sometimes a memory, a photograph, a date approaching in the distance… and suddenly the years disappear.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’ll just be a little quieter today.
Because when you lose someone you love, you don’t simply “move on.”
You move forward carrying a piece of them with you.

And some people leave footprints on your heart that even time cannot erase. ❤️
