That con I cried more than I have in years but I gained friends that have been with me through thick and thin
Because of them I was able to overcome the fear of that happening again and go to more cons
Now a few years later I find myself being overly social and cons are my refuge

@Sig_Shep A great way is finding friends that you can trust to give you an honest answer.
Have them give feedback, look at what you feel anxious about, if it needs to improve then look at what would help improve that skill.
But if they find no issue, trust that it's not your fault.
