By processing your connections (and then their connections) with #analytics you can map out your community and then operate within it more effectively.
#TwitterTips - Keep your tone of voice consistent. It doesn't matter if you're personal or formal (although we prefer the former), just don't chop and change with your style or you'll confuse your audience.
#TwitterTips - If you post across multiple social platforms, don't use a one size fits all approach. Ensure you customise your content for Twitter - make the copy succinct, video length appropriate, image dimensions correct and don't overuse hashtags.
#TwitterTips - Be unique! Accounts that imitate the content and style of successful profiles may get a quick win, but they're always playing catch up. Develop your own voice and then double down on that.
Would you rather have a high follower growth rate or an increasing engagement rate per tweet?
Both are arguably important, but be wary of focusing on vanity metrics and always think of your end goal! #Analytics
#TwitterTips - Be consistent with regular posts. Laying dormant for a while and then blasting out tweets to catch up is not a good look. Plan in advance, and create a social calendar to ensure you always have content ready to go. We use @SocialBeeHQ for our scheduling!
For more insightful traffic analytics, use different UTM tags when you use links on Twitter. At a minimum, segment your inbound traffic sources between clicks from your profile, pinned tweet, organic tweets and Twitter ads.
#TwitterTips - Adding image and video content to your tweets increases engagement, but make sure it's relevant and adds value. Don't add them to every tweet as it creates audience fatigue. Mix it up and only use images and video when they can generate the most impact.
