Jace was supposed to be an emotionless weapon. He can be a bit warm sometimes, 'cause Lightwoods showed him what it means to have a true family and friends. Clary taught him a lot too. He is greatful for that.
"Yeah, right."
Steps a bit closer. Perhaps Clary should do that.
—Valentine sucks. Emotions don't cloud judgment, they make us human. Clary tried to taught that to Jace since the day they met.
A heavy sigh left the girl.—
He's not like other vampires and you know it. He's my best friend.
—Maybe Clary needs that too; touch him.—
They were sitting close to the bar. Jace waved at the bartender, expressing that he's ready to order.
"Two glasses of whiskey. For me with cola and ice. And. . .", glances at Alec.
"Same or neat?", asks.
Valentine tought him that showing feelings is a sign of weakness, and leads to death. Therefore, he avoids it as much as he can.
Glances at her, "I just don't trust vampires. No exceptions."
He's a bit salty. Probably needs a warm hand. Like Clay's hand. On his cheek.
—Well, maybe someone forgot to mention Jace that he needs to work on that; maybe show his feelings for once? It wouldn't kill him.
With that sigh and the next question, Clary just rolled her eyes and crossed the arms over her chest.—
What do you mean, Jace?
Turns his head and meets Alec's eyes. Shows a smile and hangs up. Instead of waving, he approaches to his parabatai and gives him a hug.
"It feels like I haven't seen you for ages."
Yes. Fastest, strongest, fiercest and Izzy forgot to mention observant. Probably because Jace sees things, but reacts only when there is no other choice.
Sighed when heard that Clary was spending so much time with the daylighter.
"Nothing special, huh?", arched a brow.
—Oh, is he observant? Surprise, surprise.
As soon as the gold-haired boy stepped closer, Clary locked her eyes onto him. She couldn't help it, it was something magnetic.—
I spent the day with Simon, in a mundane way. Nothing special, I suppose.
"Let's meet there."
Agreed instantly and changed direction, walking towards the bar. It was very close to the street where he just killed a demon. Holding the phone within his hand, he said.
"I'm on my way."
Takes a deep breath and nods, even if Alec can't see this.
"Yes, it's true. Maybe it would be better to meet and talk about this while grabbing some beer? Where are you now?"
—And that is not cool since she's just trying not to show how much she missed him. Damn it.—
Oh, I get it. Same as always, I see. Me? Well, I've been fine, I guess.
His smile changes into a smirk. It's like he could hear her thoughts.
"I've been okay. Hunting demons, killing them. Same old. Y'know? What about you?"
