@VoleraiiGames@tylermcbride and by "we tried" we mean we tried to organise things but the number of devs with influence at the time willing to protest was very limited. even less so now. it was a lot of work even organising what we pulled off. this isn't to say people shouldn't try, just why it's been hard
@VoleraiiGames@tylermcbride trust me lol, we tried. the problem is that we're already being supplanted by investor-backed companies. the more indie devs that take down their games in protest, the more money the suits make. the only real form of protest we have atm is jumping platform, which is in the OP
@VoleraiiGames@tylermcbride not sure what the argument is here? a large part of why we wanted transparency was so that we had a point to argue from in terms of making roblox income liveable for more people rather than just the top 10 games. like im sorry that shit's rough but that's exactly why we spoke up
@VoleraiiGames@tylermcbride why are you accusing one of the people who organised the collective action that got us devex transparency of bootlicking?? change comes from the collective. we don't have any power alone
@Fezezen@Deepwoken easier to communicate sail angle to the player if it's square. square-rig was still used a lot historically for sea vessels vs. river/coastal vessels
