Yesterday I lost my trowel while testing with @12greengiraffes 💔 I had him since 2016 when I did my first dig in Glendalough with @ucdarchaeology. Since then he's been on numerous sites and even over to Germany and back. Goodbye old friend, you will be missed.

The Council for British Archaeology are greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
We send our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family, and all those mourning her loss, at this sad time.
Following the confirmation from Buckingham Palace of the demise of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II today 8 September 2022, leaders from York have expressed their condolences on behalf of the city.
The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
